The Phat Rhythm Section band puts on professional drum ensembles, drum circles, and drum performances in and around Orange County, California. Headed up by Stephen Dolle.

We put on professional drum performances, ensembles, and drum circles at parties, festivals, events, and clubs around Orange County, California, performing as the "Phat Rhythm Section band. Our drumming spans African, Afro-Cuban (Latin), Middle Eastern, American pop, and hip-hop. Phat Rhythm Section performs with up to 12 professional drummers. We play a wide variety of instruments, including, congas, djembes, doumbeks, bongos, cahons, cuica, misc hand and specialty drums, bells, shakers, sound shapes, and more. We feature a number of Freedom Drums fiberglass & goat skin djembes and percussion instruments. We are headed up and managed by Stephen Dolle. Contact Stephen for more information and bookings.

In 2010, Phat Rhythm Section performed at four different venues, the biggest of which was Saturday and Sunday at the Surf 24 event in Huntington Beach, California. In fact, we were the only band asked to play on both days of the event. Saturday, we kicked our set off with a hand percussion version of the popular 60's hit, "Wipe Out." On Sunday, with additional Latin percussion players from the local group, the Conqueros, we led off with Santana's popular hit, "Jingo."
